The math the headlines leave out

Bonus value calculator

Every welcome offer shouts its headline number. This shows what each one is realistically worth in withdrawable money once wagering requirements and house edge have taken their bite: same assumptions, every operator.

Calculator questions

How does the calculator work out realistic value?

For casino and bingo bonuses we take the bonus amount, work out the total playthrough the wagering requirement demands, and subtract the expected cost of that playthrough at a typical 4% house edge. Sports free bets are valued at 70% of face value because stakes are not returned. Staged poker bonuses are valued at 35% of the headline for casual play. It is an estimate, not a promise, but it is the same math for every operator.

Why does a bigger bonus sometimes show less value?

Wagering. A £100 bonus at 10x wagering demands £1,000 of play, and the house edge on that £1,000 usually eats a large slice of the bonus. A £20 no-wagering offer can be worth more in withdrawable cash than a £100 bonus with strings.

Are these numbers guaranteed?

No. Gambling outcomes are random; these are expected values under typical conditions, before game restrictions, max-win caps and your own play style. They exist to compare offers against each other honestly, not to predict your result.
