Pragmatic Play releases Helios - Triple Sun on Monday 14 September 2026. It is a Greek-mythology slot built around Helios, the sun god, and it lands the same day as another Pragmatic title, Eternal Diamonds, with the studio’s bigger Zeus sequel Gates of Olympus 2500 following on 28 September.
Helios sits in the middle of that run rather than at the front of it, so it is worth taking on its own terms rather than as a warm-up act. Here is what the game is, and which of its published numbers actually tell you something.
What it is
Six reels, five rows, scatter pays. Wins come from landing 8 or more matching symbols anywhere in view rather than along paylines, the same engine Pragmatic has used since the original Gates of Olympus. Winning symbols are removed and new ones tumble down to replace them, with no cap on how many times that repeats on a single spin.
Three glowing sun meters sit above the reels and feed the game’s features. Stakes run from 20p to £240 a spin. The default return to player is 96.46%.
The numbers that matter
Three of the published figures are worth holding on to.
The first is that RTP. Helios ships with three builds: 96.46%, 95.46% and 94.46%. They are the same game to look at, and the operator chooses which one to run. The gap between the top and bottom version is two pence in every pound staked over the long run. On a UK-licensed site the figure is in the game information panel, and checking it takes about fifteen seconds.
The second is volatility. Pragmatic rates this one medium, which is a change from Gates of Olympus at the maximum of 5 out of 5. Medium volatility means the swings are smaller in both directions: fewer dead spells, but also fewer of the very large hits the studio’s high-volatility games are known for. The published base-game hit rate is 29.06%, so a bit under a third of spins return something, and the bonus is listed as triggering once in roughly 220 spins on average.
The third is the ceiling. The maximum win is 5,000x your stake, quoted at about 1 in 250 million spins. That is modest for a Pragmatic release, and the frequency is the point: 5,000x is the rarest single outcome the game can produce, not a target and not a number anyone should plan around.
What UK players will and will not see
The trailer shows a Buy Bonus option. UK accounts will not get it. Bonus buy features have been switched off for UK Gambling Commission licences since 31 October 2021, so Helios will load in Britain without that button, the same way Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sweet Bonanza 1000 do. The Ante Bet, which raises your stake to improve the chance of triggering the bonus on a given spin, is the permitted alternative and should still be there.
If the Buy Bonus is the feature you were interested in, that is the thing to know before you go looking for it.
What looks the smart angle
There is no market to price on a slot release, so this is a read of the game rather than a tip. Helios looks like a steadier ride than the Gates of Olympus line: medium volatility, a 5,000x cap rather than 15,000x or 25,000x, and a hit rate that keeps the base game ticking. That suits a longer session at a smaller stake more than it suits chasing one big spin. The three RTP builds mean the version you play is worth checking, because it is the one number on the whole game that is set by the site rather than the maths, and it is the one that compounds over time. This is opinion, not advice.
The offers on a slots game, read properly
Two welcome offers below cover the games and slots side of the site, and the small print on both matters more than the spin count in the headline.
Ad: new Virgin Bet members can wager £10 on slots and get 100 free spins on Eye of Horus. The qualifying wager works on any slot, so you could clear it on Helios itself. The spins are 10p each, credited within 72 hours, and you have to accept them from a pop-up within 7 days and then use them within 7 days of that. Winnings pay out as cash with no cap, which is the part that separates this one from most spins offers. Deposit £10 in one go, because two smaller deposits do not count.
Ad: new William Hill customers registering with code WHV200 can claim 200 free spins on Big Bass Splash after depositing £10 and staking £10 on that game within 7 days. Big Bass Splash is a Pragmatic Play title, so if the studio’s output is what brought you here, the offer points at the same shelf. The spins are 10p each, so it is £20 of spins rather than 200 at your own stake. They expire 72 hours from credit, winnings carry 10x wagering on the same game inside that window, and the whole thing is capped at £30. That cap is the number to remember: it is the most the offer can pay regardless of what the spins do.
Neither is a bad offer for what it is. Virgin Bet’s has no winnings cap and lets you qualify on the game you actually want to play. William Hill’s is bigger in spin count and tied to a Pragmatic game, but the £30 cap and the 72-hour window are real limits. Full significant terms are on the cards below. New UK customers only, 18+, one per person.
Elsewhere this week
Thunderkick put out Serpentico Smash on 11 September, Hacksaw follows with Le Bandit Hold & Win on 15 September, and Pragmatic’s Gates of Olympus 2500, the 25,000x sequel, is due on 28 September. On the sport, the Premier League returns with Tottenham v Everton and Manchester United v Manchester City, and the 250th St Leger runs at Doncaster on Saturday.
Slots are built to return less than they take over time, and a release schedule does not change that. Set a deposit limit before you play, treat the stake as spent when you place it, and read the max win figures as marketing. If you want the games-vertical offers we hold published terms for, the Virgin Bet spins and the William Hill Vegas spins are both on the cards below, with their full significant terms.
